The Midwest Music Foundation is a non-profit that provides emergency healthcare grants and career development/education to professional musicians in the Kansas City area.

I joined up with my good friends at Mile Deep Films  and Killer Kite Productions to create this short doc, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the "Apocalypse Meow" annual benefit concert and MMF founder Abigail Henderson. This event raises money for Abby's Fund for Musicians' Healthcare, from which the above grants come.

I operated camera for the interviews and handled all the post-production, but this whole project was a collaborative labor of love for myself, Jud Kite and Tony Ladesich. We hope to eventually turn this into a longer piece on the importance of healthcare for professional musicians in every community.

(This was screened at the Apocalypse Meow X event. A lot of people cried, including me.)

This piece received a Gold at the 2018 Non-Profit Connect Philly Awards.
